The Story Behind The Photo

Hey Twilight friends, here to share a super colourful 12x12 page using the 'JWCFST 51 Whole Page Of Flowers 2' stitched cutfile along side Cocoa Vanilla Studio's 'Storyteller' collection. I absolutely love florals on my layouts, so the cutfile & CVS collection combine was an absolute favourite of mine.

I began by stitching each flower with a backstitch in 6 strand embroidery thread, I used white so it would pop against the rainbow striped patterned paper. Little tip; try to plan out your page in advanced & only stitch the flowers that will be on show!

Next, I placed my photo in the centre of the page so I could arrange the ephemera & fussy cut flowers around it, concentrating around the bottom left hand corner & top right therefore helping the eye across the page. When adhering the ephemera to the page I only use a little bit of adhesive, this way I can raise the edges for some dimension.

To finish, I added my title, journalling tag & a handful of butterflies, making sure to lift the wings. To stitch this cutfile was a labour of love but totally worth the effort, don't you think?
