Sending you some summervibes on this rainy days with this layout! I used the 'sun and seaside' cutfile and it was just perfect to document this warm day at a beach in Greece with our friends.
First of all I began to back the actual cutfile with some yellow paper. At the beginning I planned to do a big shaker pocket in the middle of the sun. But then I had the idea to use it as a frame for my picture. I really like how this turned out!
After backing the cutfile I searched for a background paper...The sunrays of the cutfile were not enough for me so I fussy cut a lot of sunrays/triangles from a beautiful 'dear Lizzy' paper. I added these to the cutfile and created this big sun. The colors of the paper were just perfect.
I splattered some yellow and orange watercolors on a white cardstock paper and added some gold 'Jen Hadfield' spray.
To frame the whole page I choose a light pink paper. I added the white cardstock page on the pink paper and placed my cutfile with all the extra sunrays on top!
Now it's time to embellish the layout!
I really love this quote/definition of the word 'vacation' and it was perfect for our Greece-Trip!
I also added some summer stickers and enamel dots around the sun.
Looking at the layout in the end I found that the blue space on the picture was to big and empty. So I added the words 'happy times' with three little hearts to fill this space and it just fits perfectly.
