Colouring Pencils

Hi everyone, Nicola here from the Twilight Design Team! I'm super excited to be sharing my debut DT layout with you today. The moment I saw the JWCF 759 Colouring Pencils cutfile, I knew it would be perfect for my boy's first day of school photo.

I made 6 of them into a rainbow in a line with his photo and popped the remaining two below, which will be an ideal place for a couple of short lines of journalling.

To make the white outlines of the pencils pop on the off-white notebook background paper, I added some red ink along the central third using the packaging technique and filled it out with some primary colour splatters.

I finished the layout off with various embellishments from my stash. I'm really happy with how this page turned out and I think it does justice to documenting this milestone. I love this cutfile and it is so versatile! There are also other versions of the colouring pencils pattern to choose from if you want them in a pre-arranged formation.
