Hi everyone, Faye here sharing a layout I created to document my 40th birthday. I loved using the birthday elements Jennywren cutfile (and the physical cutfile can be found here)
To make the layout elements 'pop' I created a bright mixed media background using Distress Oxides and added gold foiling using the Minc Machine. A full process video can be found on our You Tube channel here.
I added some extra dimension to the balloon cutfile by using the white inner pieces as templates. I drew around each element onto the wonderful American Crafts 'All Tiled Up' and 'Quilt While You're Ahead' papers. I then added foam tape to raise up each element.
This layout was created as part of the Dotty About Flair, month long, birthday cyber crop. There have been so many wonderful challenges and prizes throughout the month of July, to celebrate their first birthday! I used two flair on my layout - from the Rainbow Pride set.
To finish off the layout and add extra detail, I added some enamel dots.
